EMPLOYMENT - NEW ORLEANS

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Company: A growing business with almost 200 employees as well as a variety of locations across Ontario. This company provides building and restoration services to consumers and businesses. The position works in the local head office located in Oakville as well as with the various local General Managers.

Role Description:

1. Providing assistance with all HR activities within the organization and ensuring all policies are current and available to administration and staff, while working effectively and efficiently with all levels of management
2. Must work hard and diligently to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding Health and Safety, Government Regulations and Employment Standards
3. Mentors and collaborates with all Branch Managers and Head office teams to ensure each employee has a personal development plan to enable them to meet or exceed expectations within their current role, including consistency of standards throughout the organization (3 month reviews, annual performance appraisals, etc.)
4. Develop and implement Training and Development programs to hone the skills of all management and staff

Specific Duties Include:

1. Strategy and Planning ? appropriate and effective training and development planning and budgeting
2. Functional Accountability ? 3 month and annual reviews, confidential employee records, recruitment requirements, employee standard compliance
3. Communications ? effective and accountable communications with all Branch Managers, Head Office and HR team members

Must Haves:

1. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of emotional maturity and personal integrity along with an empathetic approach to dealing with difficult HR issues
2. A strong desire to continue to improve their knowledge as it relates to HR management and best practices
3. Exceptional communications skills and a valuable resource that provides mentoring and coaching to the entire organization
4. CHRP qualifications preferred
